Self protection: The law of Nigeria doesn’t permit individuals to own pepper spray or shockers

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said that for now, Nigerian laws do not permit individuals to own pepper sprays or shockers as tools for self-protection.

Adejobi stated this while responding to a Twitter user who asked if it was legal to own a pepper spray or shocker.
