All Local Government Chairman and Councillors elected on October 15 during the local government elections conducted by Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, have been sacked by a Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
PDP had approached the court, asking it to stop OSIEC from going ahead with the planned polls.
Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel who delivered the judgement on Friday, November 25, ruled that the election conducted by OSIEC contravened Sections 29 and 32 of the Electoral Act, 2022.
He said;
?The election held on 15 October 2022 is hereby declared unconstitutional, invalid, null and void. All persons or individuals occupying that offices are sacked.?
